Recent atalacc Activities

ATALACC participated in ATA's 10th Annual Meeting, Denver, CO, April 17-20, 2005. Proceedings from this meeting and schedules for future forums and meetings can be found at:
http://www.atmeda.org/conf/annualmeet.htm

For your future planning, it is important to note that ATA’s 11th annual meeting and exposition, ATA 2006 will be May 7 – 10, 2006, in San Diego, California, USA. If you plan to participate, you must know that the deadline to submit abstract is looming on September 15, 2005, only 3 and a half weeks away.

For ATALACC members who could not attend the 10th annual ATA meeting in Denver, we are summarizing below ATALACC’s presentation given by its Chair, Giselle Ricur, M.D.

Our VISION        Our DREAM

Previous year’s goals are reiterated and new ones established for the current year, realizing that goals must be realistic and achievable as they are used as a yard stick to measure ATALACC’s achievements.

To date, we are happy that thanks to the effort of ATALACC member Francisco G. La Rosa, MD University of Colorado DHSC.  ATALACC’s members can visit our web site at: www.atalacc.org

As a young organization, we need to learn about you, our members. Please go to this link: http://atalacc.org/survey  and complete our online survey. You can be assured that the information you provide is kept confidential and will never be divulged outside of ATALACC without your written consent.

When visiting ATALACC’s web site, do not forget to read an article (http://atalacc.org/articles) about ISTEC Salud written by Dale C. Alverson, M.D. Dale currently serves as ATALACC’s regional secretary for North America.

ISTEC Salud is topical in the sense that it is a project evolving from Ibero American Science, Technology and Education Consortium (ISTEC) bringing its established collaborative efforts in engineering and technology among over a hundred Universities across the Americas and Spain to ATALACC in order to conceive a TeleSalud “network of networks” thus adding the Telehealth component to ISTEC in collaboration with ATALACC.
